I would like the thank all the folks involved with the pickup and delivery of my newly purchased 1966 Thunderbird convertible. After having a bad experience with another company earlier this year I was somewhat gun shy about having this car shipped. Not being able to go get the car myself I got several quotes from several different companies and made several calls. Jim Perryman at United Road was the only one that took the time with me to assure me my car would be in good hands and should anything happen it would be taken care of. After talking with Jim several times I decided to pay a little extra and have them transport the car. They picked up the car on time and delivered it on the day they told me it would be here. The transport driver had driven thru a snow storm and my road was a solid sheet of ice. He unloaded the car without a scratch and helped me get it into the driveway when the outside temp was a cool 8 degrees. The car had run out of gas when he loaded it on the trailer so I had to put some gas in it before I could get it in the garage. He was very professional and pleasant working under those conditions. He explained everything to me and did an excellent inspection on the car when he picked it up. I had only saw photos of the car so it was great to see someone make the extra effort to let me know all the flaws that he had seen when he picked up the car. He didn't rush me or drop it and run. I must say I really respected that. I also like the follow up call from United Road and the fast responce from all the United Road people when I called with all my concerns. It was a very pleasant experience and every thing when just like they told me it would.
