I hired Montway Auto Transport to arrange transport of my vehicles from Texas to Florida. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing like the professional, door-to-door service that was advertised. The carrier assigned by Montway failed to deliver my vehicle as contracted and instead stored it at a third-party lot without my authorization. During this time, neither the carrier nor Montway could provide accurate information regarding the location of my vehicle. I ultimately had to locate the vehicle myself using my personal GPS tracking system and involve the Orange County Sheriff's Office in order to recover access to my vehicle and keys. After recovering the vehicle, I discovered damage and interior disturbances that were not present before transport. A Land Rover dealership inspection documented that the panoramic roof shade assembly was physically broken, the headliner had been detached, and evidence indicated the roof/headliner area had been forcibly disturbed while attempting to access an aftermarket vehicle tracking system. Repairs and diagnostics are estimated at approximately $5,000. My biggest disappointment was Montway's handling of the situation. Once problems arose, communication became extremely difficult. I repeatedly requested assistance, claim information, and insurance information. I was left to locate my own vehicle, coordinate with law enforcement, pursue insurance claims, and manage the recovery process largely on my own. I would not use this service again and cannot recommend it based on my experience.

Hello, we are sorry to hear there was a problem with your shipment. Such situations are never an expected part of the auto-shipping process, but they can happen. It is important to note that Montway serves as a broker in this transaction and therefore does not take possession of the vehicle at any point during transport. According to DOT regulations, the interior of a vehicle is not part of the condition report or inspection during pick-up and delivery and only the exterior of the vehicle is covered under the carrier's cargo insurance policy
