I contacted Ship a car direct after being referred by a friend that had used them. I got a quote for an enclosed carrier. My reaction was, too much money.I called around, got a few ,maybe we can,or we don't go that way.Prices were higher,without any guarantees of pickup or delivery. I watched the video of Ship a car's owner explain his shipping procedures in detail.
I called Emily, my original contact at Ship a car. She remembered my name and that I was wanting to ship a rare USMC jeep. WE went over how my vehicle would be insured. Only Ship a car approved shippers with great track records would be used.
We made a deal. The covered carrier quote Emily gave me turned out to be very competitive. She found an approved carrier. He had my jeep in Texas in 2 days. The icing on the cake. When the carrier opened up his transport, there was my jeep sitting in there with a 300,000 Lamborghini !

Thanks for your amazing feedback, Jim! You are right - shipping by enclosed carrier costs a bit more than shipping by open carrier, but there are great benefits! :)
