Carrier choice

My main problem was Safe-Direct's selection of carrier, especially based on their statement that: "The #1 thing that separates us (Safe Direct) from ALL other companies is that we back up our PRE-SCREENED carriers with an INSURANCE GUARANTEE.. When AMKO was assigned, I assumed that they were a regular, competent carrier used by them. After checking AMKO's reviews on "Transport Reviews", I was a bit concerned about AMKO. I contacted Safe Direct to recheck AMKO but they assured me they were OK. Based on the "Transport Reviews" rating of Safe Direct, I accepted this carrier. BIG MISTAKE The car ended up being delivered to MA instead of the original NJ destination, took 15 DAYS to get to MA , and I had to rent a car to get me to MA from NJ, for which I was not reimbursed. I don't blame Safe Direct for the delay, but for the selection of this terrible carrier which tarnishes their reputation as a quality broker, and their PRE-SCREENING process..

Whoa, whoa, whoa. The change in delivery locations was at the CUSTOMERS request. AMKO is a good carrier and got the car there without a scratch. However, they ran into a delay on the trip (it happens sometimes) and when they fell behind schedule the customer changed the delivery location and the carrier accommodated it (without charging extra for the added distance and with their apologies for the delay)
