Tracking showed "delivered" for 3+ days while my car sat in a lot 4hrs away — false record, broken commitments, no accountability

Booked Montway (broker, MC-611862) for Austin, TX ? Aspen, CO. $2,029 required in full, in advance. Their dispatch email confirmed carrier TK Auto Trans Inc and a delivery window of 07/03–07/04/2026. Pickup on 06/29 went fine. On 07/03 at 11:26 PM, Montway's tracking logged "Load delivered at ASPEN, CO." The car was not delivered — GPS showed it in a Denver parking lot, where it has sat for days. I notified Montway four times: by phone 07/04 (rep insisted it was delivered, citing their own false record), by chat 07/05 (agent Vinn P claimed in writing it was "updated" — false; agent Harrison B admitted the driver "marked the wrong order as delivered" and promised correction "shortly" — never happened), and by formal email 07/05 with screenshots and a 24-hour demand to cure. The false status was still live 60+ hours after first notice. On 07/06, their rep Madison confirmed same-day delivery around noon after contacting the carrier. Hours later, UZ Auto Transport — not the carrier on Montway's own tracking page — called to push delivery to 07/07. Nobody ever disclosed a carrier change or handoff. Ask any broker who actually has custody of your car; the tracking page may not tell you. Montway never contacted me proactively once. I located my own vehicle via GPS and called the lot myself. The delay has added $500+ in rental costs. A senior manager refused any refund: dates are "estimates," everything else was "human error." A false delivery record maintained for days over written notice is not an estimate. FMCSA Case #00287506 filed. Records request under 49 CFR § 371.3 submitted. Return shipment cancelled.
