I had booked with Montway to transport my car from California to Michigan. They quoted me a price of $929 but did not disclose what portion of that was their broker fee. They wanted at least a 5-day pickup and 5-day delivery window which I agreed to. When I hadn't heard anything 3 days into my pickup window, I got a bit nervous. Another broker from another company offered to look into how Montway had listed my order on the web. Turns out the offer that Montway had listed was so low that it wasn't a surprise that no carriers were interested - and this is halfway into my pickup window. The next day they increased the offer a whopping $25 but still no takers. I cancelled my order with Montway and had the other broker list my car. She had a driver lined up within a day.

Granted what attracted me to Montway was that their price was lower than other quotes I had gotten. In the end, the long hold times waiting to talk to someone overseas and the games they played with my order were not worth the savings.

We apologize for the inconvenience, Dave. Our load board is one of the many tools we utilize to assign a carrier to your vehicle. However, during this particular time period, we were impacted by delays due to the inclement weather in the Midwest and East Coast.
