Overall good experience with Malia

I started by calling Reliable since they have a lot of trucks headed to Scottsdale for the car auctions. They quoted a week to pick up and about two weeks to deliver for $1400. I passed.

Then by searching this site, I found Cascade which is located close to the origin of the truck transport. They said, for an additional fee, I could be picked up in 72 hours and would deliver "in a couple of days." Total cost would be $1570. I placed the order on a Thursday.

After placing the order, I wasn't sure if the 72 hours was working days or whether weekends counted too. As it turns out, the seller wasn't quite ready so I didn't press it and they did pick up on Tuesday which I guess counts as 72 hours if you only count working days.

The driver said it would take a week but that was still a lot better than Reliable's estimate and "a couple of days" seemed too optimistic to me. The driver arrived as scheduled and after clearing up some billing discrepancy, (Cascade actually charged a smaller deposit than they said they would an so the driver was asking for the remainder.) I had to call Cascade to clear this up and then I paid the driver. Cascade should have emailed me an updated statement, but fortunately, they were available by phone and resolved it quickly.

I insisted on a hard sided enclosed truck and the driver, I believe from Russia with broken English, drive the car down in a moving van type truck. The car arrived in excellent condition and the driver was diligent and careful in handling the car.

So, overall, Cascade is a good broker. If that is what you are looking for, I'd recommend them. They worked hard to find a driver who could pick up the car on a timely basis.
