I placed a request on needahauler.com to ship a tractor from OK to WA. Movewheels sent me an email every day (instead of doing a quote on the needahauler website) saying that they had a driver in the area ready to pickup my tractor for $1916. I called Beverly Glen at Movewheels and she told me that she had a driver assigned and that he would pickup the tractor on Monday at noon. I had to give her my CC number since "a carrier was assigned" and sign a contract.
Well, Monday rolls by and the tractor was not picked up. I emailed and called Beverly and she didn't respond until the next day saying that the driver had equipment issues. She never gave me the driver's contact info so I highly doubt there was a driver. The experience had soured me so I wanted no business with Movewheels but she said that since I signed a contract I couldn't exit it without paying a $75 fee. Even now I get emails from them saying they have a driver in the area ready to pickup my tractor. If that's the case how come they couldn't assign me a truck? This is textbook scamming. Brokers will lie about having a driver just to lock you into a contract. I would not recommend movewheels, EVER.
Instead, I recommend Sal Montefiori at Cousin's Logistics (smontefiori@cousinslogistics.com). He was very honest with me and had excellent communication and tried really, really hard to earn my business.
