Auto Transport did an adequate job of arranging for a truck to move my 1969 Porsche. Their rate was fair and the car arrived on time. However, it was loaded on the bottom level of the truck and after washing off the dirt we found that brake fluid had dripped from a car above and damaged the paint on the roof. Submitted a claim and was told that damage caused by leaking fluids was not covered. Checked our shippers paperwork (J.D. Copeland of J&M Transport) and sure enough fluids are excluded. I read this clause earlier and due to the way it was written concluded that it referred to fluid loss from my car that might cause damage to my car or make it undriveable. How can they expect to be free from damage caused to my car by another car they are transporting? Doesn't make sense but I have no recourse.
