Poor Service

I strongly advise NOT using AmeriCargo of Cicero, IL for vehicle transport. My experience with their dispatcher, Selag Magdalena, was extremely unprofessional from start to finish. During my first booking, she never disclosed the full pricing. When I asked a simple question about the rates, she became rude and dismissive, telling me “you can go with another company”—as if customers don’t have the right to ask about fees. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was having a bad day, so I moved forward with the booking. Fast forward to my return shipping, and the customer service was even worse. She informed me they couldn’t accommodate my requested week (Nov 30th), so I called back to see about another week. Again—no urgency, no patience, and no professionalism. When I followed up a third time, she started making up “new rules” that were never discussed during my original booking. At that point I contacted SGT, who not only offered a much lower price, but also worked with me on a pickup later in the week—something AmeriCargo couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do. I texted AmeriCargo within 10 minutes of speaking with SGT to cancel the pickup, and Selag’s response was to tell me not to call them again since I “shopped around.” As a paying customer, I absolutely have the right to compare prices and choose the best service. Bottom line: AmeriCargo lacks professionalism, customer service etiquette, transparency, and basic respect for customers. I would never recommend AmeriCargo of Cicero, IL to anyone looking for reliable, professional transport service.
