Called Ed Fisher from Fisher Shipping company to ship two cars from CT to CA. He was recommended by a friend of mine from a mercedes dealer. He brokered the autoshipping to A & D Shipping. Pick up was several hours late which was an inconvenience. Truck was an open truck with a bunch of old beat up cars. I had no choice to put my Porsche 911 on the truck as I was moving the next day to CA. Had to make a stop at a cousin's wedding that weekend so asked that car NOT to beat me out. Well, car beat me out. And I had to call a friend to pick it up. Car was delivered at night in the dark and my friend did not pick up a crease in the right front fender! When I called both Ed (from Fisher Shipping) he told me not to worry, that he would take care of it. Dorothy called and basically screamed at me and told me I was bull sh$ting her! The front license plate was also ripped off from front bumper. Porsche estimated $1800 worth of damages, but I had a friend from paintless dent quote me $250. So I asked if they would at least split the difference with me. NO was the answer. Bottom line, they refused to cover the damages to the Porsche because the bill of lading was signed off. I WILL NEVER USE EITHER OF THESE SERVICES AGAIN! AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR CAR!!!!
