This is a horrible experience that I will never forget - we agreed and paid ABR to ship our car from Vancouver BC to Winnipeg MB - this company does business in USA as well so this has been posted here as well. The origin and destination was put in just for completion sake of this review.
The total experience is susoect - we left the car on Apr 9th at the yard in Richmond BC and the money was sent the same day to the company via money order. (has been cashed) We then did not hear from them unitl I had sent a few e-mails and the phones were never answered and the mail box was full so could not leave a message - then I sent an e-mail stating I was going to go to the police - at which time - they said that the paper work was misplaced and so was not shipped will be done as soon as possible and will be in Winnipeg in a few days.
Again did not hear from them until another 2 weeks had gone by and then I called the Police and they adviced me to check with all the involved parties - which is when I called the place where the car was left, the shipper mentioned to the Adesa lot people and found that the company owed money to the shipper and until he was paid he was not going to ship. It was then that I realized there was no body to ship our vehicle.
At this point my husband and I decided that when he had some time at the beginning of June he would fly to BC and drive the car back as we did not want to spend anymore money trying to ship it through someone else. But then the shipper called me (Daniel from Canadian Fleet Services) and asks if we wanted the car brought to Winnipeg - I said yes and he said that he would bring it to us but would go after ABR to collect the money. And today he tells me that the car is in Winnipeg but unless I pay again he is not going to release the car to us. This makes me believe that these two guys were in cahoots together defrauding the innocent public and make us pay the money twice - I'd rather have paid a couple of hundered dollars more to CN rail and be sure that the car would be delievred. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - UNLESS YOU WANT NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. Today is May 31, 2010 still do not have my car!!!
