Cancelled Bid - Cost me $1084

Uship carrier cancelled their bid, costing me $1084.

I was trying to arrange tow-away shipping from Connecticut to Texas. Provider "fromano" from Dolphin Transportation bid $1911 ($2011 with Uship fee) after a couple of back and forth emails on trailer condition etc. Based on the bid I negotiated the purchase price of the boat to be shipped. Immediately after finalizing those negotiations "fromago" cancelled his bid. The result was I had to go back into the market to find another shipper and when I did the cost was $1084 higher than "fromago's" bid. Since I'm a man of my word I chose not to go back to the seller and tell him I could not make the purchase.

Uship was totally unhelpful with the situation. They listened nicely and said they would push to find other carriers ($5000 was the least expensive they could find). They offered a $300 discount but would not compensate me in any way for the financial cost to me of their carrier's actions. They would not even agree to delist that carrier from their network.
