I spoke with brokers from several companies, and Trent from Zip Ship was very easy to talk to, and provided me with a lot of information and answered all of my questions without being pushy at all or trying to talk me into anything. All of the companies are brokers, and they list your transport job on a centralized "board," which all of the truckers have access to. The key is to list your job at the right price, so a trucker will actually want to take your job! Beware of brokers who say they can get your car shipped at a cheaper price than anyone else, because they are not the one driving your car, they are listing it in the same place as every other job, and you need your price to be competitive! Trent was very honest about the process, and told me the other prices that cars were getting shipped for, and together we came up with a fair price to list our job for, which was less than some other brokers had quoted me. His broker fee was added to that price, but was less than some other brokers I talked to, as well! Also, you shouldn't pay a broker fee up front! Zip Ship didn't charge their broker fee to my credit card until my car was actually picked up by the trucker. I gave Trent a range of seven days for pick up, and he found a trucker who said they would pick up the car on the third day of our range. The trucker picked up the car exactly on time, and delivered the car from Texas to California in five days, just as promised. I had absolutely no problems at all, and will definitely use Zip Ship again in the future, and will highly recommend them to anyone who needs a car transported!
