I contracted with Sue to transport my Jetta from Los Angeles to Boston. I had used NAT/M&E Transport to ship my vehicle from Boston to LA a month previously, and the experience was nightmarish (see my review on the NAT and M&E Transport pages). Wheeler Shipping was a complete difference, because of the following:

- ongoing communication and customer service (Sue was always contactable, actually returned calls and on time)
- sense of urgency (Sue showed she was committed to meeting the timetable we agreed)
- honesty (Sue was up front in explaining how the industry worked and we were able to agree a price that would maximise my chance of getting the car to Boston when I wanted it to be there)
- reliability (did what was committed to)

I should also comment that the transporter she used (Progressive Transportation) was also very professional. The vehicle was picked up on Aug 5 and delivered Aug 18. In fact I was not in Boston when the Jetta was delivered but the delivery using a third party went off without a problem.

Compared to my earlier experience with NAT where they didn't return calls, didn't ship the vehicle when they were supposed to and forgot about me as a customer once they got my money, Sue and Wheeler Shipping continued to service my needs as a customer even after the vehicle was already with Progressive Transportation.

I strongly recommend using Sue and Wheeler Shipping if you want true peace of mind for your shipment. It's amazing how many companies forget that simple things like communication make a huge difference to perceptions of customer service, but Wheeler Shipping is a truly customer focused company.
