I have had a HORRIBLE experience with Webster Services! I would NEVER recommend them, and I'm still waiting for my car because I put down a deposit 3 and a half weeks ago!
From the beginning: I recently relocated for my job from Michigan to South Carolina and needed to have my car transported down here ASAP. I looked up many quotes online and found Webster Services to be the least expensive, now I know why. I put down a $100 deposit on February 2nd and named February 9th as my available pickup date. I received a confirmation e-mail telling me the company would be contacting me in a few days. In the e-mail the estimated shipping time from the available pickup date was 5-10 business days. That was 19 days ago! I was never contacted. The week passed and I called the company the following week. There was no response, but there was an automated voice message saying the company had been affected by the tornados that had torn through the area.
Ok, I thought, that's understandable, they can't do anything about mother nature. So I left a message and waited another few days, still no response from the company. I called again and sent a very polite email around Feb. 13th. Days later I received a mass-response email saying "thank you for being patient, we were hit by the tornadoes, etc"
Still I have not talked to anyone in person and have no idea when my car will be in South Carolina, where I already am, car-less.
So I continue to call almost daily and finally get ahold of Wayne Webster. He tells me the same sob story and says he cannot give me a date. I call again the following week, Feb 18-22 and finally he tells me he is aiming for my car to be picked up at the end of the week, but still no specific date. I call again and the date is next Monday (the 25th). I call on Monday and Wayne tries to strike a deal with my father, who is in Michigan, so that he (my father) will meet the truck driver in Monroe with my car on Thursday. Monroe is over an hour from where my car is parked. They offered no discount for my father to make this drive. Since they were not willing to come down on the price after all this, my father decided not to make the drive.
Then, as of 2/26 the new pickup date was Friday the 29th. But guess what?!? Today (2/27) the NEW pickup date is Monday or Tuesday of next week! That is one full month after I made my down payment. I have been EXTREMELY patient with this company. I understand that they were affected by forces beyond their control, but if it has been that detrimental to their business maybe they should have refunded my deposit and closed until they could actually fulfill their customer's needs. I am VERY dissatisfied with the way this has been handled. Not ONCE has the company contacted me and it is only through extreme persistence that I have been able to talk to anyone and gotten any sort of pickup date from them at all.
So now, 26 days after putting down $100, I have nothing to show for it. I have been car-less in a brand new state for 3 weeks. With all the fuss that goes along with moving, why put yourself through what this company has put me through? I encourage you to pay the extra $50-100 and work with a company that actually delivers on its promises and does not hold you hostage after taking their deposit.

Anyone who reads this please check out my history prior to the Massive disaster that we had! We lost almost everything in the tornado that hit Atkins, AR. I am truely sorry that I did not complete our transactions on these few during the trying time, I really am. If they wanted to cance,l all they had to do was cancel and I would give the deposit back, not hold hostage. We are back up and running now, Thank the Good Lord for not loosing our lived and for getting our service back up. We are here to take care of our customers. And to those wonderful people (47 other customers at the time!) out there that did have the patience to work through this with us, I thank you from the bottom of our hearts, God Bless you!
