I placed a quote for a pickup and delivery of my vehicle. It was responded on immediately with phone calls and emails (now I get spammed). The process is one it goes out for a bid and a given the carry may pick it up and ask for more money pending different circumstances (i.e. weather). I was quoted on price and asked for another 175.00 dollars. Keep in mind the one that does the quoting works with their dispatcher for scheduling. I did get a call from their dispatcher with “I have a driver but he is asking for 175 dollars more” … They said they would put in 100 dollars and I was responsible for the 75.00. After further negotiating I had to come out of pocket another 25.00 dollars upon delivery. The lesson here is that the owness is on you to follow-up and stay in contact with the shipping company and the one whom is doing the delivery of your vehicle. Keep in mind this is a bidding style solution to get your vehicle toyou … Gabe from Universal Transport Service was help and he followed up when I called him. The vehicle did arrive in one piece no issues there. The driver was a very nice driver him and his wife..
