Don't Waste Your Time with UFirst

I needed my car delivered to Austin, TX on 5/2. I had shipped a car with Greg at UFirst in Sept 2017 which worked out well, so I sent him an email on 4/7 asking for a quote. I immediately received an email from Christina informing me that Greg was no longer with UFirst, but she would be happy to help. She provided a quote. Her rate was one of the lowest in the market. About a week later, I emailed her asking her to book a carrier for my request. At first, Christina was very attentive, asking for details and seemingly making arrangements, but as the pickup date approached, her communications were less frequent. I felt like I was chasing her for updates. Finally, on Wednesday 4/25, she emailed me stating she had a carrier available for pickup on Friday 4/27, which was perfect and according to plan. She emailed me the contract and took my payment information, but failed to email me the driver information as stated in the contract. She ignored all emails requesting the contact information and pickup time, and only replied on the day of pickup to say the carrier was not going to make it. She couldn't provide the information because she never had a carrier scheduled, but that didn't stop her from charging the deposit to my credit card, even though it's stated on their website they do not charge until the carrier is booked. Saturday and Sunday went by with no communication, not shocking but very effective in my decision to seek out another broker. Christina's next email arrived on Monday morning, she was still looking for a carrier. On Tuesday morning she found a carrier to pickup on Thursday in a location 45 minutes away from my location. Pickup on Thursday 5/3 was a week later than requested, and a day after the required delivery date. In the end, UFirst NEVER shipped my car. I should have seen the red flags, Greg is gone, the address is a PO Box in Florida, and their phones numbers come up as Las Vegas, Nevada... hmmmm?! DO NOT waste your time dealing with UFirst.

Within 15 minutes of speaking to Ryan at Allied Auto Shippers, my car was booked for pickup the following day, Wednesday 5/2 with door to door service. The driver arrived for pick up and delivery as scheduled. Thank you ALLIED AUTO SHIPPERS.

Thanks Don for taking the time to confirm the timeline and service failure on your part. You basically repeated everything I stated in my review. I have the emails too, but you can't produce the one with the first driver's contact information because it doesn't exist. The car was supposed to be delivered on 5/2, I could have worked with a pickup date of 4/27,28,29 or 30, but on 4/30 when Christina was still looking for a carrier, what did you think I would do? By your on comment about changing the pickup location, you contradict the notion that I had booked with another broker a week prior. On Monday 4/30 at 12:25pm, I emailed Christina asking if moving the pickup location would help, she didn't reply. Tired of waiting, my husband called and spoke with her later that afternoon, asking if we should change the pickup location to help her find a carrier. We were willing to make concessions to help her get the car covered, why would we waste our time if we already booked with another broker. The rest of Monday went by without communication. Tuesday at 10:19am, Christina sent an email stating she had a driver willing to pickup in Albany on Thursday 5/3, not 5/1-5/2 (read her email again, and while you're at it reread the contract too, pickup location is in Johnstown not Albany). She finally sent the driver contact information on 5/1 at 12:24pm, by that time it was too late. As I stated in my review, I called Ryan at Allied on Tuesday 5/1, within 15 minutes he had my car booked for pickup the next day 5/2, and he immediately emailed the driver contact information so I could confirm the pickup time. Shipping my car isn't a game Don, as you so simply state.

I am a past customer of Greg's, never to be a future customer of UFirst, that is very clear.

Where is your business sense Don, you're wasting your time explaining that Ufirst kept me hanging on for three weeks, and somehow its my fault that you failed to fulfill your end of the contract. As with your other review responses, you never take ownership or apologize for the inconveniences. Future customer usually start by reading the customer complaints... how you reply/react to those complaints speaks volumes.

Mrs Hilton is correct she is a past client of ours from last year and our sales associate Greg assisted her on her shipment who was just as attentive to her as we are to all our clients. Our sales reps are trained this way. She contacted us again in April for information to ship her vehicle from NY to TX. . Christina who assisted Mrs Hilton on her shipment had booked for pick up on 4.27-4.28. Please see the below email correspondence confirming this: On Apr 25, 2018, at 3:24 PM, Christina wrote: Would pick up Friday with delivery Mon- Tues work? Diana Hilton wrote: Monday is not good, Tuesday evening would be the soonest he could deliver On 4/25/2018 christina wrote: ok that works. I need the point of contacts for pick up and delivery. Is that you? I also need a credit/ debit for the deposit to reserve your spot. Diana Hilton wrote: Ok thanks Mrs Hilton was sent a confirmation email with the carriers full contact information, dates, and the drivers cell number. A deposit was charged to reserve her spot on the truck as it clearly states on our website and the contract she signed. Unfortunately Friday morning the 27th the carrier experienced mechanical issues, this was unfortunate and out of anyone's control , Mrs Hilton was advised right away: Hi Diana, They just called me, they are in the shop with truck problems. I do not know how big of a deal it is so I am going to see who else we have available and get this re booked. I will be in touch as soon as I hear. Sorry about this. On 4/27/2018 11:08 AM, christina wrote: Our team immediately went into action and this shipment was booked on the very next truck which was for 5.1-5.2. Once again Mrs Hilton was notified. Both Mrs Hilton and her husband said they can meet the new driver in Albany as they know their pick up area is a bit remote and Albany is a more of a active area for trucks so this is how it was set up. To our surprise Mike( our driver) contacted us to say Mrs Hilton decided to not meet him and booked her pick up with someone else. This client was kept informed every step of the way on this transaction and we have countless emails and phone records to prove it. We also spoke with the company she ended up scheduling with who told us she had this booked with them for a week which means she was double booked the entire time and playing a game from the start. As a past client she should have a little trust and loyalty. Also in response to her "red flags" Yes Greg no longer works for UFirst auto transport, as in any normal business people move on and do other things. We have Vegas numbers because we have employees in NV and we work of their phone system. Funny how these minor details are a problem now, didn't bother her the first time she used us.
