LA to NY - Transport has been a Disaster

This was my first auto transport. I would not, repeat not recommend UFirst Auto Transport. The first priority was to book the transport making whatever promises needed to be made. Alan Awad stated that the car would be at the destination by 7/9 or 7/10. Below is a copy/paste from the confirmation e-mail stating 7/9 - 7/11.

Your pick up dates are as follows:
Estimated Pick up dates: 7/2/2012 - 7/3/2012
Estimated Delivery dates:7/9/2012 7/11/2012

It is now 7/13/2012 and I don't have a confirmed delivery date/time. I have had to rent a car, stay in a hotel, cancel an airline flight all of which were at great personal expense.

In short, UFirst promised whatever was needed to make the booking. The shipper is working on their own personal schedule with no regard whatsoever for the customer. Profits first above all else. I was definitely not first on this shipment!

This client contacted us on 7.2 at 530pm for help as he needed an ASAP pick up for his Infiniti. Our dispatcher stayed an hour and a half past closing time to help this client and insure he was scheduled on the very next truck going out. We bent over backwards for him and he was picked up a few hours later. As far as his vehicle being late on delivery we tell every client delivery from coast to coast its 7-10 days. This customer’s route was CA to update NY. 2,675 miles. Mr. Porter contradicts himself in his review. He says we told him delivery would be 7-9 / 7-10 but the email confirmation HE copied it clearly says 7.9 /7.11. The drivers are dealing with many factors on the road such as weather, traffic, weight station lines and other pick up and deliveries. Unfortunately this driver experienced a delay with another client as her flight was delayed and she wouldn’t be getting in to receive her car until later that night. This resulted in the driver having to wait 11 hours in OH which threw of his schedule a day. Mr. Porters vehicle was ONE day late and we were in constant communication with him and he also had the driver’s direct mobile number. This was something out of anyone’s hands and we did our very best to accommodate his needs and schedule.
