Beware of this company. They tack on their broker fee on top of the stated price. I wish I had read these reviews before agreeing to them picking up the car. The pick up was timely and the carrier courteous. When I called for a drop off date I was informed the price due was 925!!! I had been told directly by a representative of Tristar that the deposit of $175 and the broker fee were the same thing and the only thing due on delivery was the remaining $575. Now they say the fees are different and their wording stated it. They say in the email:
" Payment Information:
Choice of Payment: Credit Card
Order Deposit : $175.00 against total price
Amount Due: $575.00 Subject to paragraphs 1-19 of the terms and conditions.

Exclusive of any additional charges [see contract terms and conditions, paragraphs 1-19- priority service,$175.00 broker fee .[ The customer is bound by the terms and conditions of this contract].
Quoted Price: $750.00 subject to terms and conditions attached"

The statement exclusive of any additional charges and then listing the broker fee I guess they figure that makes it NOT an additional charge.

Now they have the car and I have to pay cash to get it back. They didn't even run the deposit as a credit card charge as they said they would. I assume they know that it is reversible as a charge and money orders are not without a court hearing in New York (their chosen jurisdiction)!

We guess that even if you send a contract and the customer signs it and agrees to it, it means nothing. A customer such as this plays ignorant when delivery is about to be made: LOOK WHO IS THE SCAM ARTIST
