They quoted a total delivered price and I contracted them for the job. When the car arrived the trucker would not release the car unless I paid another 175.00 above the contracted price. The trucker and I exchanged our contract info openly and came to the conclusion that tri-star was in default. When I called Tri-star the conversation was more of a strong arm tactic, if I didn't pay or took legal action, they would impound the car and tack on fees, ie early pickup fees, no starting fees, storage fees, impound fees and a few more. I then consulted the contract which showed those fees could only be charged if the customer requested specific pickups and if the car was not able to move under its own power. I did not request any specific pickup date or time and the car was able to move under its own power.
Basically this company has no integrity nor should you do business with them.
I paid all the fees, saved my contracts and conversations and filed a complaint with the State DA and the BBB.
If you do some research on this company locally, they have a very poor reputation.
