I called Bill at Transport Connection after another carrier tried to charge me more on the day of pickup because I had a van and not a car (though they were given the make and model when I received my quote). Bill in his rather animated style, had me on 3 way calls with various trucking companies negotiating rates and working each of them against each other like a true broker while i just sat there and listened to him do his thing. I started off a bit skeptical that these 3 way calls were fake or something since I didn't know what was really going on on the other side but that wasn't the case at all.. He was honestly trying to get me the best deal that he could and you could just tell that he was enjoying it. In the end I got a better deal than I had with the first company and Bill honestly worked harder for me that I had expected especially since his fee stayed the same regardless of what rate I got from the trucker. I had the whole thing set up within 30 minutes on a rather hilarious speaker phone call listening to him rant and rave with people on my behalf. I'd work with Bill again if I shipped a car again.
