If you are looking for a reliable, no nonsense company, then this is the company that you need to hire. Bill Avrich went above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle was taken care of.
I hired Transport Connection because I was initially “burned” by another company. I called Bill late on a Friday night, and was greeted with a positive attitude, which made me feel like I was his most important customer. His attitude was a breath of fresh air, since he is the type of guy that will not BS you. I wish I had contacted him before I attempted to ship my vehicle with another company. I will give you a synopsis of the first company that I dealt with at the end of this review.
In short, Bill promised to move my vehicle within a week. Since I was “burned” by another company, I was expecting my vehicle to be picked up 10-14 days, if not later. To my surprise, he was contacting me within five days. Better yet, the vehicle was being shipped in a closed container at no extra cost. The vehicle was picked up on a Wednesday in New Jersey, and delivered to me on Thursday in Missouri. Yes, the next day; not eight days later. He followed up with a phone call to ensure everything was taken care of, and of course, I couldn’t be happier. If I have to ship a vehicle again, without a doubt, I will call him again. I have actually put him in my phone as a contact.
Here is how the first company that I dealt with treated me. I also want you to understand that the synopsis below is not how Bill Avrich/Transport Connection will treat you.
The first company that I contacted was a typical “bait and switch” company, which I have found out, is very popular in this industry. The company initially quoted me at $535, but after calling them within 10 minutes, the price was already at $595. I still hired them anyway because I was still satisfied with the price. Over the next 10 days, I could not get the company to answer the phone or respond to e-mails. When I did contact them, they said they did not have time to call me back and said that they needed an extra $150 before they would move my vehicle. Matter of fact, I think they screen their calls, but accidentally answered the phone. I say this because, when I called, they knew exactly who I was. I basically told them to “get bent”. That is the short, nice version. I immediately posted my experience on this website, and the company called me the next day, bribing me. They offered me $100 to remove the review, and the review is currently not on the site. If I explained the whole situation, my fingers would be sore from typing. The moral of the story is that you can’t trust many of these companies because they pay people off to remove the negative reviews.
Hopefully, you are still reading, and if so, please trust me. Bill Avrich/Transport Connection is the way to go. He will be up front and honest with you. If he gives you a quote, he is truly trying to find you the best deal.
Lastly, I do not work for Bill and I was not paid to post this review. I just think that people like Bill should be rewarded for outstanding customer service and hard work, which is rare these days. In addition, I am not an “internet junkie” or “troll”. I know how hard people work and I don’t want someone to go through the same thing that I went through. I can’t stress enough how important it is to go with Bill.
