Our beloved 1975 van would not start over the Thanksgiving weekend in San Mateo. After AAA came and hit on the starter it did start. We drove it to firestone to check out repairing the starter or getting a new one. After firestone kept it 2 days and removing the front tires, we said no more. The van would not start at all then. We had it towed to another service center. They kept it a day and and diagnosed a new engine for $4900.

I said no way. I wanted to get it back to our regular mechanic in Santa Monica. I went online for a quote. Total Shipping was the first to respond in about 2 minutes. I waited for other responses but they were slow and some are just coming in now. Although others were a little cheaper, I chose Total. Their charges were reasonable for the approximately 400 mile tow.

Nilda was my representative and wow is she a powerhouse. She took control and put me at ease. I was pleasantly surprised when the pickup was the same day. Additionally reps Jeff and another evening rep I don't recall were outstanding.

One more commendation goes to the driver Max. He was very careful with our old van as if it were just as valuable as the other cars on the truck. Thanks for helping to get our baby home.
