I was looking for information about shipping a large vehicle from OK to NC. I had quotes from various brokers that ranged in price through automated systems, but when I started trying to confirm prices, prices started increasing quickly because the automated systems did not understand the size of the vehicle. I began debating flying out and driving back myself. I called The Car Transporters, Inc., and Holly took the time to explain to me in detail that Oklahoma was not a state with a lot of vehicle transport traffic and neither was NC. I was very upfront with Holly that I was thinking of moving it myself to save money. To give me an accurate estimate of what it would cost to ship the vehicle, Holly took the time to contact several of the trucking firms that they regularly use to see what they would want as their fee to transport the vehicle; she was willing to do this extra research on my behalf even though I was thinking of bringing it back myself. When she called me back, she provided specific information on comparable shipments from the surrounding area that had been done in the last few months. Furthermore, she researched the national board to see what vehicles were offered for shipment within a 100 mile radius of the pickup point as well as a 100 mile radius of the destination point. She provided me with all this information plus a quote. In the end, I decided to drive the vehicle to NC, but Holly gave great service and has a great knowledge of the shipping industry.
