When transporting a vehicle, it generally takes 1-5 days to locate a carrier. These are 8-10 car haulers and they do not necessarily leave every single day since they try and get a full load. This was explained to the customer upon booking and because she was in a hurry, she agreed to add $50 to the original quote to speed up this process (the normal fee for expediting is usually $150) This customer booked, got dispatched, picked up, and delivered all within 5 days! On a holiday weekend! This route indeed is a very common route but as we explain upon booking, the carriers need a window of time for pick up and delivery due to the amount of vehicles they have to pick up and deliver, weigh stations they need to stop at, and for any situations that may arise that the driver cannot control such as traffic or weather. Upon dispatching this vehicle (one day after booking), it was explained to our customer that this carrier was the very next carrier doing this route and that the ESTIMATED delivery date would in fact be Monday. As I stated previously, carriers need a (2 day) window for pick up and delivery. This is explained to the customer over the phone upon booking and dispatching, stated in our contract which is sent out upon booking, and again on the dispatch notice that each customer receives once their vehicle is dispatched. This customer agreed to the dates upon dispatching and accepted this carrier. Suncoast is closed on weekends and returns all messages Monday morning, which is why each customer is sent the driver’s contact information.
