Tried hiring Stateway to move my car from NC to CA. As with all other negative reviews, they offered a low price, which was the reason they were chosen. However, the pick up date came and went, but there was no sign of getting the vehicle picked up. No one every picks up phone calls or responds to voicemails. They prefer to respond via emails, and the responses are same - " we are diligently working to get your car picked up". Aftwe losing 7 days past the pick up date, I contacted another broker, who told me the price at which Stateway had put up my listing on the carrier board, the vehicle would never get picked up. This was because there were smaller cars on the same route being offered for a much higher price. Since I was out of time, I hired the 2nd broker at a higher price and the car was delivered in 7 days. After this experience, I left a negative review for Stateway, following which I got calls (Several) from their management wanting to discuss my experience. I explained to them what had happened. I was offered an apology and they offered to pay for the difference in cost as a courtsey with a condition that I'd take down the negative review, which was fine considering the apology and the offer to pay the difference. A check arrived 5 day later, which I deposited, and to my disbelief, the check bounced and my bank charged me an additional $12 for the bounced check. Tried contacting these people again, but no response.

Please please stay away from this company. Very unprofessional and lack basic customer service skills.
