I did a lot of research before choosing Ship a Car Direct. I decided to choose this company based on their reviews and their website, which is user-friendly and incredibly informative. The website has easy to understand videos that clearly answer common questions. I shipped my car across country from DC to San Luis Obispo, CA (a smallish city in Central CA). I paid $1275 which seemed about the average from other online quotes. The communication was great. I received texts the day before both the pick up and the drop off. The drivers were on time on both ends. The car, which is older, arrived in exactly the same shape as it was when it was picked up (but a lot dirtier :)) . I was extremely happy with this "no drama" transaction! My only word of caution is that you should be prepared to meet the 18 wheeler at a nearby shopping center of other large parking lot. Both pick up and delivery drivers seemed to have established places where they would pick up/drop your car. Not a big issue as long as you plan in advance how you are going to get to the drop off site.
