My daughter and a friend were moving to San Diego and I offered to transport her car there to help with the move. This was my first time transporting a vehicle, so I googled auto transport companies to get information. I found a website that asked me to fill out a form with the logistics of the move to get pricing. I did that and got many phone calls and emails from auto transport companies with a pretty wide range of quotes, I had no idea how many companies existed in this industry and I was overwhelmed to say the least. I found another website with reviews of transport companies and read many horrific stories from unsatisfied customers, now I was getting nervous. I like to look someone in the eyes when I am doing business with them and in this industry the business is conducted over the phone and by email. I decided I would need to do a little research to find a company with a good reputation that I could trust. I started with the Better Business Bureau and started a list of companies with an A rating or better. I looked at reviews for the companies on my list- they all seemed pretty good for the most part. I decided I would look for something that stood out about a company before making a call to them. I ended up choosing Ship A Car Direct because they offered a guarantee to pay for any damage caused by the carrier in the event the carrier would not cover those damages and they only use carriers that have a proven history of customer satisfaction. I also found the videos on their website helpful that explained the whole process of moving a vehicle from start to finish. I called them and spoke with David Franco, he answered all my questions and was quick to get back to me with a quote. We still had a couple of weeks before the move and whenever I called with a question, David got back to me with an answer in a reasonable time. In the end, we moved my daughter and her friend’s car with Ship A Car Direct. We were very happy with the results- the carrier showed up on the preferred date and delivered the vehicles on schedule with no damage. We found the right company.
