Ship-a-car-direct was the only straightforward process in my cross country move (Chicago to LA). Emily was my direct contact and put me in touch directly with the driver - I don't recall his name but he was very easy to connect with via cell phone. I think he is with another company based in Arlington Heights, IL. By the time the car pick-up was scheduled, I was already physically in LA for work but left my car in my dad's driveway. The driver contacted me directly to let me know where he was relative to the pick-up location and arrived close to the time he stated which was great given my dad was there for the inspection and signing the papers. It took about 5 days for my car to arrive in LA - well before my household goods arrived. Once again, the driver was very communicative. He texted me his ETA and then called when he was close. I had forgotten to take out cash to pay the balance so he patiently rode in my car to go the few blocks to an ATM. My car arrived in good condition. I wish this company took care of my household goods because that part of my move did not as smooth. If you want to ship your car cross country instead of driving it, I would recommend Ship-a-car-direct. (If you want to know where NOT to go with shipping your household goods/furniture, contact me!)
