We ended up paying $1400 versus the original quote of $1250 due to our difficult pick up location in the California central coast area. We would have loved to only have paid the original quote amount, but found the convenience of not driving our car to another location for pick up was worth it. David at Ship a Car Direct worked hard to find us a driver for our vehicle, and was successful given a few extra days to do so. Slonik Transportation was on time, kept us up to date, and delivered our vehicle without any issues. We loved the fact that the driver, Alex, of Slonik Transportation works for himself...knowing we were supporting a small business was an added bonus! The only reason we are not giving this 5 stars is due to the quote difference, a minor disappointment in an otherwise great experience.

Thank you for your positive feedback, Sarah! You bring up a really important point about pricing: we prefer to give a realistic quote in advance too, and that's easier for large metropolitan areas. When either (or both) of your locations is outside of a major metro area, your final price can shift slightly from the estimate depending on the independent carrier available for your move.
