Transport from Las Vegas to DC (Maryland)

Overall, I was pleased with the customer service provided by Matt with Ship a Car Direct. I was quoted $1050 to have my car transported from Las Vegas to Washington, DC. I was pleased with the driver from Avanti Auto Transport upon pickup of my vehicle; he was timely and kept me abreast of when he would arrive. My disappointment came when I was told while my vehicle was en route that the driver was not permitted to enter DC.....this information was not communicated to me and I expected door-to-door delivery because I was not expected in to the area until after the delivery date.

Upon the drivers arrival to the city, I had to coordinate with a friend to have my car picked up at a Maryland mall location because they refused to take it directly into the city. In addition to paying her for her assistance, I was assessed an additional $25 for taxes that was also not discussed while booking.

My car arrived safely with no blemishes, 3 days early and intact.

Thanks for your feedback, Danielle! You bring up an important point: it is impossible to deliver in DC directly. There are other major cities like (San Francisco, New York City, etc) where door-to-door is not an option. Sorry that wasn't clear earlier in the process. The additional charge was the credit card processing fee, standard payment terms are for cash on delivery - which is what we recommend.
