I engaged Safe-Direct Car Shipping about transporting my Toyota Camry from Scottsdale, AZ to New York, NY. I spoke with Amanda and from the beginning, she was a pleasure to work with. She was thorough, honest and blunt. It was clear that she was working hard to get my car shipped quickly. I needed the car shipped faster than usual because I was leaving the state of Arizona. She tried very hard to meet my demands. However, when it looked unlikely that she would be able to find a transport rig before leaving, she suggested that I begin speaking with other companies (she even provided me with a list of the highest rated companies according to Transport Reviews). I found a company, Door to Door Transport.net, that said they could meet my needs. However, one day before they were supposed to pick up the car, the person I was dealing with, Roy, stopped taking my calls or returning my messages. It was EXTREMELY frustrating. I was at the airport and it was clear to me that his company would not be picking up the car. In the meantime, Amanda informed me that she had found a driver, but it would not be for two days after I arrived in NYC. I brought the car to a friend's house and left it there with directions for pick up from the person Amanda contracted. Ultimately, the driver needed to have his air conditioning replaced, so he was two days later than originally anticipated. I was pretty upset, but the driver, Adrian, was very honest with me and felt badly. He told me that he was losing money by being late. He was very likeable from the start. Adrian returned my texts and calls while on the road and kept me apprised throughout his trip. In the end, he got me my car one day EARLIER than he said he would. He was a GREAT guy and somebody I would use again. I told Amanda that I was very pleased with her assistance and would also use Safe Direct again. There were no hidden charges ($225 for Safe Direct & $900 for Adrian). I had some tight deadlines and she did as much as she could in as quick a time frame as possible. THIS is why I agreed to write a review for compensation ($30). I was going to write this blunt/honest review anyway. The take-away is that things will go wrong in this process if deadlines are too tight. Fortunately, it worked out well for me. I am happy to recommend Safe Direct, Amanda and Adrian for all of their efforts!
