I just had my Chrysler Town & Country minivan moved from Los Angeles to Raleigh, NC and used Safe-Direct after an extensive internet search for auto transporters. My contact was Tom and he was thorough and helpful with information leading up to my carrier being assigned. CAA transport took the assignment on the first day that it was posted, so that was a relief that someone would take it in the time window that we were available. I called CAA the day before they were to p/u van and was told that the driver would contact me 24 hours out which didn't happen, but they did show up and get the van on the day designated when we posted it. The p/u driver was not a great communicator, but got the van loaded and we signed off on it and away it went. We didn't hear anything for a week, but on day 8 our driver (not the same guy) called and he was the antithesis of the home p/u driver ... great communicator, personable, friendly, and best of all on time. He told me that he was about 8 hours out and called me 7 1/2 hours later and he was here and already unloaded the van and we just had to get to him and pick it up. His name was Cortland (sorry spelling?) and we would highly recommend him. He met us with a smile and a handshake and after a quick inspection of the vehicle (dirty!) and money exchange, we were all on our separate ways as he still had 5 vehicles on his carrier to deliver. All in all I would recommend Safe-Direct as a reputable shipper and trust that they will put you in a trustworthy carriers hands.
