I was looking to send my 1982 Corvette Collector car from my home in Maryland to the new owner in Florida. It had to be sent quickly and via an enclosed carrier. The car was valued at $50k + and was vulnerable to the elements in transport. I have used other enclosed carriers in the past from car auctions that I have attended and purchased cars from. I decided to Google enclosed carriers to see if there were others on the market that could do the short trip quickly. I found Safe-Direct. Contacted them over the weekend and received a response back within hours. First of all, the quick response caught my attention and raised my level of respect. It was not an automated email, but rather a direct email from David. Second, it contained a workable estimate of the actual transportation fees and the beginnings of the move logistics. This early response enabled me to contact my buyer, give him some planing costs and move forward with the process. I did have several questions for David that were not covered in the FAQ on his web site. He was prompt and courteous with his responses and very patient with me. He understood my nervousness with the unknown part of this sale. When the schedule was confirmed, I received information about the actual carrier chosen, contact information, and insurance information. The up-front insurance was very helpful in allowing me to match the coverage I needed for the transport. Finally, the driver told me to expect him at 10am. He arrived within 15 minutes of the estimate on a Saturday. THe vehicle and covered trailer was first class. The driver and all documentation was as promised, and the actual inspection and loading of the car was done very professionally. I was told that the car would be delivered the next day in late afternoon. I received a call from my buyer that the car was delivered without issue. The driver called with ETA's along the way and helped put my buyer at ease.

The over all experience was as if I was dealing with one company rather than a series of companies as other carriers show. The followup by Safe-Direct with questions on our satisfaction was also well done. i would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to be kept totally in the loop during their vehicle transport.
