I had a terrible experience shipping my other car a few years ago. Picked the lowest bid, the car was never picked up for 10 days. Had to cancel the order booked a new one paying $125 more. This time I learned the lesson. Chose Safe direct for $100 more than the lowest bid, but still $150 lower than the highest bid. Checked AAA has A rating, has been in business for 5 years 3 months (most companies only 1 year, some less than 1 year). Sales rep Tom is very knowledgeable and honest. Lot of companies told me their truck is in the area, that's lies! Shipping companies are all brokers no one owns any truck. Drivers are all independent contractors, pick the cars paying the right prices to ship. My first available date was Wednesday, Tom told me they usually assign driver Monday or Tuesday. If not by Tuesday I could add another $50 so the car will be picked up. I understand the game from prior experience. But some driver called Tuesday didnt have to pay more. This driver let us put lots of stuff in the trunk too, saves us lot of money shipping them. And the car was delivered in 3 days, we are very relieved and happy! Would definitely use Safe Direct and call Tom again.
