I shipped my car from the Bay Area to New Jersey. I contacted Safe-Direct about a week prior to my available pick up date. Safe-Direct's price quote was in the middle of the price quotes I received from around 8-10 companies. They were easy to contact and set up the the process. I had a strict 4 day window to ship, so after a couple of days went by, I called in to check with Safe-Direct because I hadn't heard anything. The contact said to give it one more day. She called the next day (Tuesday) and said there was a driver who would pick it up on Thursday, but needed $50 more. I said that was fine and approved it. The driver (from Avanti) called me on Wednesday morning and said he would be picking the car up that day in a few hours instead of Thursday and asked me to come 20 miles away instead of near my address as had been promised when I originally booked. The pick up ended up being somewhat frustrating because by the time the driver made it through traffic I had to spend an hour driving to the drop off location and several hours waiting around to receive his call. The driver then forgot to call the day before he dropped the car off; I had to call him to check on the status. I was happy the car got from one location to the other quickly and without issue between pick up and drop off, but the experience was definitely not perfect.
