There are a lot of complaints on this sites about cars being delivered late. I had the opposite problem. The car was picked up a day early in Seattle - not a problem. It was then ready for delivery in California three days later. This was faster than i anticipated and my delivery contact (who had the money to pay the driver) was out of town. It was all resolved easily - the car was held in a local depot and delivered after he was back in town (for a small added fee) and the car is in good shape. But if i shipped another car i would make sure whoever was receiving the car was available for a wider delivery window - several days before and after the anticipated delivery date.

Sorry your car was transported too quickly! You share an excellent point: it is realistic to have wiggle room around pick-up and delivery dates - drive times are always estimates. Thanks!
