Working with Safe-Direct was great and I have no complaints there. The particular shipping company unfortunately had some mechanical problems and didn't handle the situation as I would have wanted. The pick-up was a day or two late because there was a problem with the hydraulics on the truck, and the repair had to take place in a location somewhat far from where the driver was. I personally had to follow up with them the original day we had scheduled for pickup when I didn't hear from anyone and the driver appeared to be an hour late, so I only found out at 10pm that they had to reschedule. Mechanical difficulties can happen, I just wish I would have been contacted as soon as it was found out rather than having to wait up late and call them myself. As soon as the car was picked up, I was very happy with the service. I was given the phone numbers for the driver and dispatcher, so I could reach them when needed. I got to talk to the driver when he picked the car up and he was very knowledgeable and personable. The car arrived without damage and, given the changes, on-time, so I was generally pleased with the service after the initial complications.
