Let me start by saying that I shipped a vehicle from NJ to Los Angeles when I moved here several years ago and it was a NIGHTMARE. The estimate was 7 days, it got there 16 later. The company was rude when I was trying to locate my car's whereabouts, and when the car was finally almost to LA, they insisted that they couldn't deliver it door-to-door anymore, even though I had paid a premium for that option. So....dreading this process again when I needed to ship my car back to NJ last week, this time I was determined to work hard to find a reliable company that wouldn't be anything like what I had experienced before. I found Safe Direct from TransportReviews.com. Their reviews were the best overall. I emailed and got a quote from David. I told him the price was a little higher than I could afford, so we worked together to come to a number that would work. I paid a deposit via credit card when the car was picked up, and a cashier's check was waiting in NJ for the remaining balance. My car was picked up the NEXT DAY from emailing him. David was reachable every time I needed to ask him a question. The truck driver called my cell 1 hour outside of LA, then 30 min outside, so I was able to use my lunch break to meet him. He was so nice, very professional, did the most thorough inspection of my car, and he gave me his personal cell # in case I wanted to check on the car. He left on a Friday afternoon and the car was in NJ first thing Tuesday AM (over Labor Day weekend). The car arrived in perfect condition. When I watched him drive it onto the truck, he was SO careful so I trusted it was in good hands. What I expected to have been a headache / possible nightmare, was SO much easier than I imagined. I can not recommend them highly enough. The best compliment I can give is that I would recommend them to the people closest to me.
