I guess I am joining the crowd of tire kickers who happened to fall for Mike's smooth talk and low ball quote. Mike quoted me a price of 700.00 (200.00 now and 500.00 COD) to ship my car from San Diego to Virginia. I thought the price was great and the company had at that time a 5 star rating. What I found out is that if you want Rock Bottom SERVICE then you go with this company. After the signing of the contract Mike stopped taking my calls and would not return my calls either. Everything was done via Email so there is a record of our back and forth emails.
I signed the contract on October 9th and the car was picked up on November 4th. In the interim there was a bunch of lies as to when the car was going to be picked up and never was. After the car was picked up and about to be delivered I was informed that the price was going to be $900.00. I spoke with the transportation company and they said that the request to transport this vehicle indicated $900.00 and that is what they expected to be paid. I emailed Rock Bottom and asked for an explanation and he answered by quoting me the same thing that the quoted price was only an estimate and not binding. I told Mike that the shipper is supposed to be notified and agree to the new price. He evaded the question completely and never responded to my requests for clarification on this matter. I understand that the average rate to transport a vehicle from San Diego to Virginia is around 1,000 to 1,100 which I was willing to pay until I talked to Mike and convinced me to go wiith him and pay only 700.00. Now I was cheated, deceived, lied to and robbed and all of this under the guise of what I thought was a Rock Bottom SERVICE binding contract.
I WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.
