In 25 years have I ever dealt with such unprofessional or disrespectful people as these. One week ago RAT charged our company card and called me with confirmation dates. Those dates have come and gone and when I call today to find out when, I am told, oops, it hasn't been picked up like I was told it would 2 days ago. I asked when it would be and a nonchalant answer of "I dunno" is given. I was never called and told about a problem and apologized for inconvenience and offered anything.
I am an auto dealer and also an owner of a small in-state transport company myself and I understand "shit happens" beyond out control, but when it happens, call the customer and talk it out.
So I pick up phone and call United Road and order the shipment which is what I should have done in the first place instead of use the company listed on ove.com.
