The price 'quoted is not actually a quote but a low ball estimate which many brokers were willing to give. However, once you sign the contract and they post your needs, no transportation company will come close to that low ball price. Your agent will contact you with many higher offers. I was told $600. The first offer back was $1200. I was lucky and had time to wait. Finally was offered $800 to take a small Toyota truck from GA to MA. We accepted and 3 days later the truck arrived. We'll be better prepared next time. Our agent was Melissa who worked to find drivers but really had to work with drivers offers and had to convince me to accept one. She hung in there through all the 'now responses I gave her.
