I used Pioneer through a broker (AutoStar Transport, an excellent company). Because of this I cannot really judge their honesty and if they are knowledgeable, and therefore didn't rate them on these aspects.
What I can judge is their performance and customer service. My first contact with them was the pickup. They arrived on the day promised (July 20) and almost exactly at the time promised. The gentleman who picked up my car was extremely courteous, professional, and FAST! The whole process took less then 5 minutes. I couldn't believe how easy it was.
My next contact with them was on July 29, when I received a call from Pioneer asking what time would be good for me to drop off the car the next day. I was not even in California yet, so I could not take delivery of the car, which frightened me because so many companies I spoke to, said that drivers can't wait around for me, and if they got their earlier than me, I would have to pay for storage. The gentleman I spoke with made no mention of that. He just said they'd get back to me the next day, and they did. Then they found out exactly when I could take the car, and that was it. No problem, no extra fees.
My last contact was when the car was delivered. It was there within an hour after I told them I would be able to receive delivery. And this process was smooth and simple as well. My car was dirty from the trip, but I expected that. Otherwise, there was absolutely no damage to my. Everything was exactly as I had left it. This driver was just as nice as the one who picked up the car.
It was such a pleasant surprise for this process to be as painless as it was. I would highly recommend using Pioneer as your transporter. If I move back to NY, I certainly will.
