To start when we booked for transport we specified that we had a flight out on May14th. Our date for availiable pick up started on the 8th. We were scheduled for pick up by the broker on May 12th. I decided to call Pioneer directly to make sure. They scheduled us on the 14th!!! The day we were leaving. They attempted to make a change to the 12th. We had to call back several times to get a time when the car would be picked up. At first we were told that the car would be picked up on the 13th. Then when we called to confirm the time. They said the car would be picked up between 4 to 6 on the 12th. I though that this was working out and was better. Through out the afternoon the time was moved from 4-6 then 6-8 then 8-10! In the end the driver John calls us up at 1030 saying he would be another 30 minutes. We finally just rescheduled for the morning of the 13th. Supposed to be at from 11-12. We were waiting around finally at 2 the driver calls and says he is parked in the middle of the 15/510 Hi way and we should bring the car there for loading. I am pregnant and have a 1 and a half year old son! and this guy wants to load in the middle of the hiway! We went over and true enough he was parked at a u turn slot blocking traffic wanting to do the transaction right there despite us telling him that there was a parking lot where he could pull the trailer in to do the transaction where it would be safer. He refused. Then he proceeds to tell me that he has no inspection papers and no bill of lading! Because he didn't have the papers he was asking me to turn over my car and write all the details down on a piece of paper and we would sign that and he would fax the filled out papers to me later. He told me to call his company and ask them. they were telling me the same thing. that it would be ok and they are insured blah blah blah. I called the broker who was very helpful. They confirmed that i should not release my car to this company. Later that afternoon pioneer was in contact with the broker and told them that they could pick up my car that afternoon for an extra 100$ !!!!!! That just took the cake.
My recommendation when you are working with a broker get the name of the carried if its Pioneer Auto Transport....demand they change immediately!!!!!
