As you may know antique cars are very fragile. They need to be treated with complete care and understanding of the car. Gilbert at Philam Transport knew about this and reassured me that the car would be in good hands. I got many quotes in the shopping process and Gilbert was the one who put my mind at ease the most. He was not the lowest bid, but thats not what I was going for. I was looking for someone who was going to handle the car CORRECTLY! I called Gilbert to schedule the hauler and within 18 hours he had someone to pickup the load. 24 hours from there, the car was on its way to its new home. The car arrived 4 days earlier than expected, not factoring in the Thanksgiving holiday and Blizzard warnings. The car arrived via ALDA LOGISTICS Inc. and all the proper procedures were followed. Instead of chaining the car down from the frame which is not correct, they used straps on the tires, effectively using the car's suspension to cushion its ride. Combine that with air ride on the truck must have made for a smooth journey for the old girl. When unloading, the driver was EXTRA cautious and took extra measures to see to it that my and the other vehicles were not damaged. It was amazing watching this guy work. He knew exactly what to do and was thinking ahead eliminating lost time. We both packed up and were on our separate ways with a friendly goodbye and reassurance to myself that this was a great company to deal with! Thank you Gilbert! Thank you Ilya! And thank you Alex (dispatcher)! They made a great team!
