I have never transported a vehicle on my own across the country but Orange Auto Transport made the process very easy. Once I chose to use Orange, communication via email and telephone made the whole process very transparent. I was told the first day that the vehicle might be picked up (with a 3-5 day window) and it was picked up two days later. The driver indicated that the vehicle would be delivered about a week later but it was actually delivered 11 days later (this was more in line with the estimate by Orange). Fortunately, I did not have a strict deadline for either the pickup or delivery of the vehicle. I was told the amount of deposit required ($140) and how to pay that online. I was also told the amount to provide the driver/carrier by certified funds at the time of delivery ($1,150). The entire cost was $1,290 which I found to be about average for the other quotes I received. Some transport companies offered to transport the car for more and some for less. However, I chose Orange Auto Transport due to their favorable reviews. The only glitch that occurred was that my daughter to whom the vehicle was being delivered was supposed to be called to coordinate the drop off of the vehicle but she had to call the driver to find out about the car. She was informed that the car had been dropped off at the carrier's office in a neighboring city. She was given a number to call and she was able to arrange for the car to be delivered to her the following day. Other than that one issue, everything went off without a hitch and for the price agreed to. The car was in perfect condition and I was told what to expect at every phase of the process. I thought everything was easy and I would definitely use Orange Auto Transport if I ever need to ship another vehicle across the country.
