I had purchased a large motorcycle/sidecar combination from a dealer just over 400 miles from my home and did not have the time to go and pick it up so the dealer called National Transport. I was told that they would pick up in 1-4 days and deliver 1-2 days after that. This was on a Friday and I began to calculate, figuring BUSINESS days and the other stuff they usually pull, but, on Tuesday, they confirmed a Wednesday pickup and I was riding my new bike on Thursday.
From beginning to end every statement made was accurate. Every promise made was kept.
I needed to arrange time off from work so I emailed National Transport to ask about delivery dates and times and was answered in less than 15 minutes. When I asked them to let the driver know that because of my strange hours he could contact me anytime except between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. The return email contained the driver's name and number.
The driver was very accommodating. We had several options regarding delivery times and he went way out of his way to make it easy for me to work around my schedule.
The driver was very professional, courteous at all times. Once the vehicle was unloaded he went over everything on the bike that he had seen at pick up and gave me ample time to check it over for problems or possible transport damage. He reminded me of the service you could expect way back when before the "me" generation came into power and it became every man for himself. If it were my company this is exactly the sort of person I would want dealing with the customers and representing me in an honorable manner.
