Hello Brandon, I am sorry to hear about the reported issue with the shipment. Not everyone ships a car every day. Transparency is very important to us, so we provide complete details of our services and responsibilities upfront. This includes information about the limitations of truck drivers and their responsibilities. As a broker, our services are to arrange your shipment with a licensed and insured motor carrier. Our contract is always available online at https://www.montway.com/terms-and-conditions.
In the event of any issue, we are here to help. We have provided you with your Bill of Lading from pickup and delivery. This document includes photos that are geo and time-stamped. We have also informed you of available options to pursue your indicated issue further.
Please note that vehicles shipped on an open trailer are susceptible to the inherent risk of open transport. This includes but is not limited to, road debris impact, rock chips to the windshield and body, adverse weather conditions, dirt, etc. These types of occurrences are not within a motor carrier's control. This would not be deemed driver negligence and would not normally be covered by cargo insurance.
If you have questions or need assistance, please reach out to your coordinator.
Sincerely,
Richard K
