The reason that Montway's efforts to locate and assign a carrier that could (properly & safely) transport this customer's vehicle were delayed, was due to circumstances that were completely outside of Montway's control. This customer's vehicle had a pre-existing mechanical issue, which required the vehicle to be loaded and transported by a trailer that is properly equipped to load and transport inoperable vehicles. Similarly, the vehicle was impounded (as a result of the vehicle being improperly/illegally parked by the customer in front of a volunteer fire department station house)- Montway dispatched 2 different carriers that were properly equipped to transport the customer's vehicle, but when the respective carrier's arrived to load the vehicle for transport, they were unable to gain access to the vehicle, as the impound fees were not paid by the customer, which prevented the vehicle from being able to be released into the carrier's possession. This vehicle had a low ground clearance, which also delayed the carrier assignment process, as there are a very limited number of carrier's that possess trailer's that can safely load a vehicle that has a ground clearance (lower than 4 inches, as this type of vehicle requires the transporting carrier to be equipped with a lift gate), to ensure that the undercarriage of the vehicle is not compromised during the loading/unloading process. The customer does not qualify for a full refund, as the customer choose to cancel the order after Montway's services had been rendered- the carrier(s) that were assigned to load and transport this vehicle, had to ultimately been unassigned at no fault of their own (or Montway's).
